Hypebeast leaked pics of the Spring 2010 Stacks decks. Can’t say we are particularly hot for the others in the series but these Reese Forbes Beetles take us back to the heydays of Rasa with a blast. Nice work Mr. Leon.

You already know we were fans of Omar’s energetic style from the jump. March 15th sees the release of the Zoom Omar Salazar SB, and boy are we fan of those too. We got our sweaty paws on an advance pair at Lockwood skateshop. The touchy feely looky verdict? They feel pretty stiff and are going to need quite the breaking in. But after your griptape has tamed them you get some nifty yet subtle tech features and great looks: A bit like the bastard offspring of a love triangle between a Half-Cab, the Nike’s Kyle Reese wore in The Terminator and something an FWAstronaut would wear playing ball on the Moon. Did we mention the purple lining yet? If we’d have FWA uniforms, these would be standard issue.

As you might know our boy Chris and his crew are down in FWAustralia finishing up their ‘Finding Omar‘ trip; sort of an Animal Chin kind of endeavor that has them on a worldwide search for their local Kebab vendor who skipped town one night without saying bye. Well I guess they can pack up and head home, because even though they didn’t run in to their shady Egyptian friend: they sure found more Omar than they bargained for.

Omar Salazar has been one of our FWAvorite skaters since his days as an Am on the original Rasa Libre roster. So you can imagine us getting all syked like giddy fanboys when Chris came across our idol at Waterloo Skatepark in Sydney. My man even had him cracking Omarizms in an improv Fifth World Ascension tee (check the pics below). Dude is down!

Watch some FWAwesome footage on the tube and check out Omar talking about his upcoming Nike SB shoe. Is that purple in that colorway? Oh yeah!

During his odyssey across the netherworld of FWAustralia our man KRZA still finds the time and means to connect and drop us a line regularly. Recently his syke-meter shot way up to deep purple when he came across Flying Coffin and Asuza - and we really feel obliged to put you on as well. Both (especially the latter) are an inspiration to what the Fifth World could become when we really start ascending, so quickdraw your Visa and support these fine brands. You might be able to shop some just in time for the Holler Days. Just make sure you still have some credit to burn when that new new FWA hits stores come spring!
